Aim of the course:
This course concludes the MOOC Work-Readiness Skills for WBL through XR by deepening the application of industrial robotics in immersive training contexts and emphasising safety, quality and sustainable skill development in advanced industrial environments.
Building on the foundational knowledge introduced in Part I, the course explores more complex robotic operations, risk management considerations and real-world implementation challenges. It highlights how XR-supported training can enhance procedural accuracy, operational safety and competence transfer in industrial settings.
Participants will reflect on how continuous improvement, innovation and responsible technology use contribute to long-term employability and professional growth in automated and digitally driven workplaces.
Main ideas:
- Using XR simulations to improve understanding of occupational safety and quality requirements in industrial robotics training.
- Analysing how skills and behaviours acquired in virtual environments transfer to real industrial settings, supporting confident and precise performance.
- Reinforcing principles of safety, quality assurance and professional responsibility through immersive learning activities.
- Encouraging reflection on feedback and training data from XR sessions to drive continuous improvement and innovation in industrial robotics education.
